Kalanchoe tomentosa ‘Teddy Bear’ is a rounder, thicker-leaved form (or “sport”) of K. tomentosa ‘Chocolate Soldier’, discovered on Altman Plants growing grounds. Flowers are small, but are quite uniquely, attractively furry, bell shaped and golden ginger in color. Like other K. tomentosa varieties, ‘Teddy Bear’ is about as touch-friendly as they come. Can be planted in patio plantings or even in garden beds in areas with temperate climes. Kalanchoe tomentosa ‘Teddy Bear’ is an Altman Plants introduction.
